A Note For Boneheads Doing Their Own Home Renovations

If you're putting a new floor in the bathroom, don't choose wood laminate glued to a floating plywood subfloor. Even if it sits over the old lino, it allows moisture to get through (especially when there are holes in the lino), and mildew will form. If you do this, then the people who purchase your house will hopefully get lucky and catch it both before it gets to the walls and before it turns to mold. But even lucky, those people will be thankful they have a third toilet, since the other two will be out of service for as much as 48 hours.
